About the position To calculate and monitor radiation dose given to cancer patients. To use a treatment planning computer, simulator, CT scans, and other ancillary devices to develop a computerized treatment plan to be used for radiation treatment of cancer. To assist physicists in determining the overall treatment plan of the patient. Other duties as assigned. Responsibilities • Calculate and monitor radiation dose given to cancer patients. • Use a treatment planning computer, simulator, CT scans, and other ancillary devices to develop a computerized treatment plan for radiation treatment of cancer. • Assist physicists in determining the overall treatment plan of the patient. • Perform other duties as assigned. Requirements • Two years experience in Dosimetry is preferred. • Completion of a recognized training program in Dosimetry is preferred. • Masters Degree in Dosimetry from a recognized training program is required. • Certified Medical Dosimetrist (CMD) certification is required within the first year of employment.
