Job Description of Doorstep Delivery Driver:
As a UPS Doorstep Delivery Driver, you hold a vital role in our organization, delivering packages to residential and commercial properties alike. Utilizing our famous brown trucks, you will ensure that each customer receives their products in a timely and courteous manner. If you thrive on physical activity, while enjoying working outside and driving, then this position is for you. Each day, you will deliver boxes of all shapes and sizes, provide exemplary customer service, and act as a proud representative of the UPS brand.
Job Duties and Responsibilities of Doorstep Delivery Driver:
To operate a UPS delivery vehicle safely and efficiently, it is necessary to follow all traffic laws and safety guidelines.
Convey parcels securely from one location to another, ensuring prompt and error-free delivery to various addressees, both residential and commercial.
Prioritize exceptional customer service, striving to make sure every customer has a positive and memorable delivery experience.
Adherence to the UPS Uniform and Personal Appearance Guidelines is key to projecting a professional look.
Improve delivery times and increase efficiency by using handheld technology to manage and optimize delivery routes.
Abide by the UPS appearance protocols and put on the company-provided attire.
Typically work for complete shifts, which can range from 8 to 10 hours per day.
Qualifications and Experience of Doorstep Delivery Driver:
Capability to hoist items weighing as much as 70 pounds.
You do not need to hold a CDL for this job, but possessing a valid drivers license is a must. The applicable license type varies depending on the location.
Fulfill the medical requirements needed to obtain DOT certification.
First-rate service and top-notch driving skills.
The right to work in the U.S. is protected by federal labor laws and regulations, which prohibit discrimination based on race, gender, age, and other factors.
