Dispatcher

GENERAL DESCRIPTION / PRIMARY PURPOSE: Execute a proper transfer, tracking of fruit and timely closure of orders, in order to safe load and dispatch product movements with efficiency and confirm deliveries according to sales requirements. MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS/DUTIES OF THE POSITION: · Generate load cards, direct drivers to available doors and process all necessary paperwork (gate passes, bill of ladings, confirmation of sales, etc.), in order to keep routes efficient and productive. · Ensure that the fruit is properly tracked according to FDA requirements, in order to keep an eye on trucks and goods, comply with the established policies and ensure adherence on all matters concerning health & safety. · Ensure that all warehouse orders are closed in a timely manner utilizing and maintaining the appropriate systems. · Ensure FIFO is being performed, in order to load the appropriate fruit to comply with company procedures. · Provide back-up to equipment control coordinators at the container gate as needed. · Ensuring that temp recorders are added to orders that have been specially requested by our Sale's team. · Tracking temp recorders and updating outside vendors' internal systems. · Give status updates to waiting drivers.
