Job Posting Title: Disney Consumer Products Public Relations & Communications Intern, Fall 2026 Req ID: 10138989 Job Description: About the Role As part of our Global Public Relations (PR) team, the Public Relations Intern will play a key role in supporting global PR campaigns and special projects for the Disney Consumer Products (DCP) segment. Our team partners across the organization to deliver innovative content, media strategies, and social activations that break through the noise and drive excitement for Disney products worldwide. The intern will report to the Senior Manager of Communications. This internship is a full-time, six-month commitment in Glendale, California, from June 2026 through January 2027. What You Will Do This role requires a highly motivated individual with a creative, adaptable approach who can bring fresh thinking to this internship. We are looking for candidates who embody optimism, demonstrate self-starting initiative, and showcase strong attention to detail. The position encompasses responsibilities such as: Assist in strategic PR planning and execution that aligns with business goals, driving buzz and media coverage around priority programs and products, including licensed consumer goods, games, publishing, and interactive experiences. Draft communication materials, including press releases, blog posts, social copy, decks, and campaign plans. Support PR activations, including press/influencer events, photoshoots, and media visits. Identify creative content opportunities for various digital and social platforms. Support media planning, long-term strategy development, and presentations for internal and external partners. Maintain organized PR team trackers, develop reports, create and distribute recaps, including monthly recaps, and perform miscellaneous administrative tasks. Liaise with cross-functional teams, including Marketing Strategy, Public Affairs, Licensing, Brand Commercialization, and other key partners across The Walt Disney Company. Create and manage press materials for cross-brand campaigns and seasonal initiatives, such as holidays and the D23 Expo. Organize and manage ongoing product requests. Monitor industry trends across social and PR to inspire innovative approaches. Please Apply If You Are/Have A strong understanding of pop culture, retail trends, and the entertainment industry. Creative, optimistic, and eager to challenge the status quo. Proficient in Mac/MS Office; ability to write for diverse platforms (print, web, social, and video). Appreciation for Disney products and storytelling. It Would Also Be Great If You Have/Are Familiar With Knowledge of Disney products and culture. Previous relevant internship experience. Knowledge of Photoshop, Canva, Keynote, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Office tools, i.e., Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint. Education Senior year preferred. Pursuing a degree in Public Relations, Public Affairs, Communications, Journalism, or a related field. Required Materials A writing sample is required as part of this application process. Eligibility Requirements & Program Information Candidates for this opportunity MUST meet all the requirements below Be enrolled in an accredited college/university, pursuing a degree, taking at least one class at the time of application, OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship. Have not completed one year of continual employment on a Disney Internship or Disney College Program. Be at least 18 years of age. Possess unrestricted work authorization. Additional Information The approximate dates of this internship are June 2026 through January 2027. Fully available from Monday - Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM Pacific Time Zone for the duration of the internship, 40 hours each week. Be aligned with The Disney Look appearance guidelines. Able to provide own housing for the duration of the internship program in the Glendale, California, area. Able to provide/have reliable transportation to/from work.
