Job Title: IT Analyst III/ Global Directory Services Engineer
Location: Remote, required to be within 1–2 hour commutable distance from one of the following office locations:
Corning, NY
Charlotte, NC
Vineland, NJ
Phoenix, AZ
Hemlock, MI
Hickory, NC
Blacksburg, VA
Keller, TX
Candidates must be able to commute and work onsite as needed
Pay Rate: $60-$64/hour
Work Hours: M–F 8am–5pm
Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred; High School Diploma or GED requiredDescription
The IT Analyst III will serve as a Global Directory Services Engineer, functioning as a senior technology leader and subject matter expert for directory services including on-premises Active Directory, Microsoft Entra, and related utilities. This role will help drive critical IT initiatives, coordinate with cross-functional teams, and enable streamlined, secure, and automated directory services infrastructure across a global enterprise environment.A strong engineering mindset, with a focus on automation and best practices, is essential. The ideal candidate will be comfortable navigating complex environments, building stakeholder relationships, and delivering high-impact results across multiple platforms and teams.Requirements
Design, install, configure, and operate Active Directory (AD), Microsoft Entra, and supporting utilities/products
Define standards, policies, and procedures for Active Directory and Entra
Develop and support AD/Entra solutions that align with company standards and business needs
Serve as technical lead for IT projects and collaborate with stakeholders and project managers
Oversee change control, incident response, and disaster recovery processes
Mentor infrastructure team on best practices and design principles
Provide escalated support for business-critical issues
Required QualificationsEducation
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field preferred
High School Diploma or GED required
Work Experience
7+ years in Active Directory / Windows system administration
7+ years managing enterprise IT infrastructure in private/public cloud environments
Technical Skills
Active Directory design, migration, and security at the enterprise level (multiple forests/domains)
AD backup/restore testing, ransomware protection
Expertise with:
On-prem AD
Azure AD
ADFS
M365 Integration
Multi-factor Authentication
Windows Server Core
Holistic understanding of infrastructure: networking, virtualization, DR, storage, etc.
Experience with public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure)
Soft Skills
Strong leadership and communication skills
Proven ability to influence across teams and drive strategic alignment
Crisis management and problem-solving capabilities
Ability to execute in ambiguous environments and deliver results
Desired Qualifications
Experience with:
Red Forest/Tiered AD model
Privileged Access Workstations (PAW)
Netwrix, Quest Recovery Manager
Background in manufacturing environments
Experience in high-security or regulated environments
