Director/Sr. Director, New Opportunities - Biotech Entrepreneurship & Seed-Stage Venture Firm
Join the Mission to Revolutionize Biotech Entrepreneurship
Curie.Bio is a pioneering seed-stage venture firm and therapeutics accelerator dedicated to empowering entrepreneurial founders to launch successful therapeutics companies. We're on a quest to simplify the process of getting from concept to compelling dataset, enabling founders to focus on their area of expertise while we handle the rest. As a Director/Sr. Director of New Opportunities, you'll play a critical role in shaping our connection with the outside world, sourcing the most exciting seed-stage therapeutics companies, and educating the ecosystem on the Curie.Bio advantage.
About Curie.Bio
Curie.Bio was founded by experienced biotech entrepreneurs and investors who understand the challenges of building a successful therapeutics company. Our team, led by Zach Weinberg, Christoph Lengauer, and Alexis Borisy, has collectively helped start numerous therapeutics companies and been intimately involved with the Series A financing of many more. We've witnessed firsthand the difficulties of going from a seed-stage concept to generating the data package necessary for a successful Series A raise. Our mission is to reduce the complexity of getting to a compelling POC data package required for a Series A financing, enabling more viable drug companies to be created every year.
The Role
As a Director/Sr. Director of New Opportunities, you'll work directly with founders, investors, scientific luminaries, and Curie.Bio leadership to drive sourcing initiatives, optimize internal processes for scaling our organization, and educate the ecosystem on why Curie.Bio is the best place to start a therapeutics company. You'll be responsible for:
Deal Sourcing: End-to-end ownership of deal sourcing from mapping and prioritizing sources through cold outreach to in-person or Zoom sourcing calls
Founder Interface and Engagement: Setting and managing founder expectations of the Curie.Bio model and investment process, ensuring completeness of materials during deal intake, and enabling high-quality interactions with all founders
Content Creation and Management: Developing and managing external content, such as website content, case studies, and newsletters, as well as internal content, like training materials for the Curie.Bio team
Investor Relations & LP Education: Enabling high-quality interactions between the Curie.Bio team and its investors, both current and future
