Your Role:

The Director of Strategic Planning will lead the orchestration and implementation of CSAA's strategic and long-range goals. This role will manage the annual strategic planning process in collaboration with the CEO and the Executive Leadership Team, ensuring that all strategic initiatives align with and drive the company's objectives for growth, profitability, and superior customer experience. The Director will support teams across the enterprise to align their divisional and departmental strategies, goals and measures to ensure complete alignment to the overall strategy. This pivotal role, will analyze current trends in the industry, assess competitive threats, and identify opportunities for the company to grow revenue and improve its operational efficiency. Insights gleaned will be crucial in transforming these external factors into actionable strategic opportunities that span across the company's various business divisions.

Your Work:
• Lead the development of annual strategic planning process, working closely with the CEO and Executive Leadership Team and Divisional heads.
• Ensure seamless integration of strategic plans with day-to-day operational activities across all departments.
• Create comprehensive business strategy assessments and presentations while monitoring the progress of strategic initiatives.
• Forge a strong linkage between the strategic plan and the three-year financial and operating plan in close collaboration with the Finance department.
• Partner with senior-level leaders across various functions and channels to develop both near- and long-term visions and roadmaps, facilitating a smooth transition from strategic planning to practical execution.
• Support individual business units in crafting their strategic plans, ensuring they align with broader corporate strategic priorities and divisional initiatives.
• Develop, disseminate, and monitor clear performance standards and key performance indicators for business units and other critical areas of focus.
• Collaborate with the Strategy Execution Office to ensure that all initiative planning processes are in sync with the overall corporate strategy, key priorities, and goals.
• Assist senior leadership in tracking, analyzing, and communicating strategic performance measures, providing regular, timely, and accurate updates on operational and/or financial gaps or deficiencies, as well as progress on key revenue initiatives.
• Offer business and technical thought leadership, influencing decision-making within executive circles and ensuring that strategic insights lead to actionable outcomes.
• Champion interdepartmental teamwork and cooperation, taking a leadership role to maximize organizational synergy.
• Depending on the growth needs of the Strategy team, take charge of recruiting, hiring, and onboarding competent strategy associates to bolster the strategic planning function.
• Promote continuous skill development within the Strategy team and beyond, coaching for improvement and growth, and inspiring others through proactive leadership and positive actions to maintain high morale and engagement.

Required Experience, Education and Skills
• 10+ years' experience operating in strategic and operational roles at a leadership level.
• 10+ years' experience influencing and managing communication to senior executives, internal colleagues through concise, official, and regular updates on status, progress, strategies, and roadmaps.
• 7+ years' experience with strategic planning, business development and / or strategic marketing experience in the financial services or insurance industry.
• Proven ability to lead others directly or indirectly, as demonstrated through 5+ years of leading teams, enterprise-wide programs, or large cross-functional programs
• Bachelor of Arts (BA)
• Experience selling ideas and concepts and working persuasively with colleagues using advanced analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Exceptional analytical skills complemented by superior time management abilities. Must be adept at synthesizing complex data into actionable insights
• Proficient in developing detailed work plans, accurately estimating and managing resources, timelines, and budgets to ensure project success.
• Skilled in crafting detailed presentations that effectively communicate key messages to various stakeholders.
• Excellent presentation and persuasion skills, with experience in engaging and influencing top-level executives, including the Board, CEO, and Executive Leadership Team.
• Experience in providing intellectual leadership and rigorous analytical evaluation to support significant business decisions.
• Intellectual Curiosity: Strong intellectual curiosity with a proven track record of applying it to solve business challenges and enhance analytical efforts.
• Problem-Solving Abilities: Capable of resolving routine to moderately complex issues by applying established policies and procedures effectively
