Overview

The Director, Sales Automation will be an influential, experienced leader, responsible for leading the sales automation and AI efforts in the Sales organization. This role will be responsible for leveraging SFDC to enhance our sales processes, increase effectiveness and support our Sales teams' productivity, working in close partnership with the Enterprise Applications team. This role demands a blend of strategic vision, technical expertise, and leadership to innovate, implement, and optimize sales automation tools. This person will manage a team supporting these efforts as well. Successful candidates will have a strong background in Salesforce Platform Management and Administration, be proactive, curious and innovative, and excited about driving productivity and effectiveness through sales technology.

Responsibilities

Essential duties and responsibilitie
• Develop and implement a long-term strategy for sales automation to enhance sales productivity from lead generation to closing, aligning to business targets and identify KPIs to measure success.
• Collaborate with Sales Leadership and Reps to understand pain points and identify automation opportunities and integrate them into the sales process to reduce manual and or many-click tasks.
• Analyze sales processes for inefficiencies and recommend/implement solutions using SFDC and other sales automation tools.
• Understand the needs and challenges of the sales teams, the mechanisms by which the cross-functional departments interact with sales automation and information, and tailor solutions that verifiably improve workflow and outcomes.
• Practice innovation daily and look for new ways to use Salesforce to gain a competitive advantage, whether through automation, AI or other emerging technologies.
• Make decisions based on analytics, metrics and leadership guidance to ensure automation efforts and AI are genuinely increasing outcomes and results.
• Manage projects, tasks, timelines, implementation of innovations, as well as team resources smoothly from start to finish.
• Build a strong alliance with Business Application leadership and convey Sales priorities, challenges, and needed support.
• Demonstrate patience, perseverance and grit in a complex and ever-changing environment.
• In collaboration with cross-functional partners, manage all product backlog related to Sales, including roadmap development and operating as product owner (i.e. development and priority of user stories, testing)
• Responsible for ensuring communications and change management related to releases, demonstrations, and working with the Sales Enablement team for relevant enablement on enhancements.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications
• Ideal target experience of 5-10 years of CRM product management experience, with at least 3 years specifically focused on Salesforce.com and including Lightening.
• Experience with other Sales Automation and tools preferred, such as outreach/prospecting, sales enablement, revenue intelligence, conversational intelligence.
• Deep technical proficiency in SFDC Sales Cloud, CPQ (Logik.io) and integrations with boundary applications is important, including customization, integration, and data management.
• Strong understanding of agile development practices and experience working within a change management and project framework.
Ability to evaluate and prioritize solutions based on business needs and technical feasibility.
• Excellent at explaining complex systems in simple terms to stakeholders at all levels, including conveying the value of automation to non-technical team members.
• Strong problem-solving skills to address and resolve issues.
• Prior management experience preferred.

A reasonable estimate of the base compensation range for this position is $124,800 - $189,200 USD. This compensation range is specific to the United States and it incorporates many factors including but not limited to an applicant's skills and prior relevant experience and training; licensures, degrees, and certifications; specific geographic location; internal equity; internal pay ranges; and market data/range parameters.
