Director of Inventory Planning & Logistics

The Director of Inventory Planning & Logistics is a leadership role within the Technologies Group (North America), responsible for designing, leading, and continuously improving enterprise inventory management, inventory planning, and logistics capabilities. This role ensures material availability, cost efficiency, and operational scalability while supporting both standard and project-based business models across manufacturing, service, and distribution environments.

The Director partners closely with Supply Chain, Operations, Finance, Sales Operations, and Technology teams to ensure demand signals transition into executable plans, establish governance and performance standards, and drive digital and process transformation across inventory and logistics functions.

Essential Duties
• Define and lead inventory strategy, policies, and governance across the Technologies Group.
• Oversee inventory planning, replenishment, and material availability to support service, manufacturing, and project demand.
• Translate demand forecasts into executable inventory and logistics plans aligned with capacity and financial targets.
• Establish and monitor KPIs including inventory turns, days of supply, service levels, and forecast accuracy.
• Drive standardization of inventory and logistics processes while enabling flexibility for project-based operations.
• Partner with Sales, Operations, Finance, and Procurement to align demand, supply, and working capital objectives.
• Lead ERP and planning system optimization, ensuring data accuracy and end-to-end visibility.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on cost reduction, service improvement, and working capital optimization.
• Develop and maintain standard work, governance, and operating cadence across inventory and logistics functions.
• Support broader operational excellence and transformation initiatives within the Technologies Group.
• Challenge and evaluate the internal flow of material for manufacturing and fulfillment purposes.
• Define and execute enterprise logistics strategy, including transportation, warehousing, and distribution network optimization.
• Establish freight cost governance, reporting, and analytics to drive visibility and continuous improvement
• Drive logistics risk mitigation strategies, including contingency planning for capacity constraints, disruptions, and geopolitical risk.

Essential Requirements
• Strong expertise in inventory management, planning, and logistics operations.
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional and multi-site teams.
• Experience translating forecasts into executable supply and inventory plans.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and drive decisions.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience working in complex manufacturing, service, or project-driven environments.

Additional Requirements
• Experience with ERP systems; SAP preferred.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
• Exposure to global supply chains and international logistics.
• Background in Lean, Operational Excellence, or Continuous Improvement methodologies.
