Director of Facilities & Estates – Care HomesEssex, London, Kent & Surrounding Areas £70,000 – £75,000 per annumNo Fixed BaseWe are working in partnership with a growing care home provider to recruit a dynamic and hands-on Director of Facilities & Estates to lead property, compliance and estate strategy across their portfolio.This is a key senior leadership role requiring someone who can operate both strategically and operationally, setting direction at board level while also being visible and active on siteThe RoleLead the estates and facilities strategy across multiple care home locationsOversee compliance relating to fire safety, health & safety, water hygiene, statutory testing and property standardsDevelop and implement planned preventative maintenance (PPM) programmesManage refurbishment projects, capital works and contractor performanceEnsure homes are inspection-ready from an environmental and safety perspectiveProvide hands-on support to Home Managers with facilities challengesDrive cost control, budget management and supplier negotiationsBuild robust reporting systems for board-level oversightAbout YouSenior estates/facilities leadership experience, ideally within care homes, healthcare or multi-site environmentsStrong understanding of regulatory compliance within care settingsAble to balance strategic planning with practical, on-the-ground problem solvingExperienced managing contractors and capital projectsCommercially aware with strong budget management skillsComfortable travelling extensively across Essex, London, Kent and surrounding areasSelf-sufficient and adaptable – this is a field-based role with no fixed office baseThis is an exciting opportunity for an experienced estates professional who thrives in a fast-paced, multi-site environment and wants to make a visible impact across a growing portfolio.For a confidential discussion, please get in touch.Our Promise At
