This critical role in the organization will be responsible for leading the charge on continuing our cyber risk quantification product that leverages big data analytics and high throughput processing. You will help drive and deliver on the technical strategy and roadmap and will be responsible for mentoring the team. You will work cross-functionally with your peers in the engineering organization as well as leaders in sales and product. Your impact is not bounded and you will be enabled to engage and collaborate with various teams and ensure your product’s success. We are a remote-first company, so you must bring your excellent verbal and written communication skills to bear when you are working with your engineering teams and cross-functional teams across the globe.The ProductThreatConnect Risk Quantifier (RQ) enables organizations to rapidly, and in a data-driven, defensible manner, calculate the impact of a cyber attack in financial terms. RQ also provides prioritizations for where the business and security teams should invest resources (people, process, and technology) based on financial metrics and ROI. Bringing together cyber loss and cyber attack data, RQ links the technical and business parts of an organization together to make informed, data-driven decisions that drive risk mitigations. Coach, mentor, and create an environment where your team can do their best work and deliver for the business.Play an integral role in influencing and shaping ThreatConnects’s engineering culture and strategy Required Skills 7+ years of engineering leadership experience, with deep experience working on complex products in a high-growth environment10+ years of experience in major programming languages with significant .NET experience and front-end technologies (e.g., React, Angular)Strong knowledge of cybersecurity principles, technologies, and frameworks (e.g., encryption, authentication, network security, etc.)Passion for leading, coaching, and building an inspired team through setting vision, unlocking potential, and driving compassionate accountabilityStrong decision maker who effectively balances ambiguity, available data, speed, and qualityOperates at multiple altitudes, from developing vision and strategy to driving executionHave high “EQ”; be even-keeled, flexible, and able to quickly adapt to unexpected changesExperience working with software governance and agile methodologiesExcellent written and verbal communication skills Desired Skills Understanding of risk management principles, processes, and metricsHave enough technical knowledge to enough to gain the respect of software engineersBreak down complex technical problems into smaller solutions that provide value on their own and as part of a larger solution Additional Information Research shows that while men apply to jobs when they meet about 60% of job criteria, women and individuals from marginalized groups tend to apply only when they check every box.
