Director of Data Platforms (Remote)

Position Purpose:We are actively seeking a talented and experienced Director of Data Platforms. In this pivotal role, you will play a crucial part in supporting and driving the overall growth of our business specifically focusing on data strategy and management for Marketing and Online. Your responsibilities will encompass employing cutting-edge data engineering tools and techniques; acting as the central hub of collaboration across several departments/resources for all data related activities to meet business objectives.Collaboration will be at the heart of your role, as you closely work with our exceptional product, engineering, and marketing teams. Together, you will forge a path towards exponential growth while maintaining the integrity of our organic customer experience. Your expertise in providing guidance and leadership will be instrumental in fostering an environment of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning within our Analytics team. Key Responsibilities:20% Lead advanced analytics organization to provide actionable insights to cross-functional teams (Product Management, Merchandising, Finance, Marketing, Technology) and develop cohesive and comprehensive understanding of the key drivers of the business to promote growth and business development20% Lead efforts to build a stronger data-driven culture and drive growth through innovative strategies and meticulous execution. Drive a culture of continuous testing, leading efforts to run AB and multivariate experiments20% Hire, manage, mentor and grow the analytics team on tools, approaches, and how to reach clear, actionable recommendations10% Work with application and data engineers to develop, implement and optimize data management processes to design self-serve reporting & analytics solutions using all available tools (Tableau, Google Analytics, custom reporting, Omniture etc.)10% Partner with marketing to drive direct mail, email, paid search, and social media targeting10% Join forces with product management to help identify and prioritize future site features and measure project outcomes5% Collaborate with merchants to bring an algorithmic approach to product insights and site merchandising strategies5% Build a better data infrastructure and develop the architecture to collect and link raw customer data across the site and devices Direct Manager/Direct Reports:This position reports to VP Interconnected Experience.This position has 3 direct reports. Travel Requirements:Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time. Physical Requirements:Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles. Working Conditions:Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable. Minimum Qualifications:Must be eighteen years of age or older.Must be legally permitted to work in the United States. Preferred Qualifications:Graduate degree preferred (MBA)10+ years' cross functional experience in ecommerce/digital analytics within a large corporate environment across Product Management, Finance and Pricing/Merchandising areasWell versed in web analytics packages (Omniture, Coremetrics, etc.) and emerging technologies in the marketplace that impact eCommerce and Marketing data collection and analyticsPrior experience in developing and managing direct reports, internal clients and vendors10+ years' cross functional experience in ecommerce/digital analytics within a large corporate environment across Product Management, Finance and Pricing/Merchandising areas Minimum Education:The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a bachelor's degree program or equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job.
