Position Details Position Information Position Title Director of Communications Simulations; OPCVM Department CVM Academic Affairs Position Category Staff Full Time Job Description The Director of Communications Simulations at the Lincoln Memorial University College of Veterinary Medicine in Orange Park is responsible for creating, developing, assessing, and delivering communication and professional skills course content, including simulated client encounters, throughout the first three years of the professional curriculum for veterinary students. This role involves leading, training, and managing faculty and staff in communications exam labs and the Standardized Patient(SP)/Client Programs. The Director also develops, delivers, collects, and interprets outcomes assessment data on student and SP performance, assigns student grades, and oversees case study simulation lab encounters. Furthermore, the Director leads efforts to continuously analyze, improve, and refine professional skills and conducts OSCE communication assessments each semester Required Qualifications Bachelors degree Preferred Qualifications Bachelors degree or higher in veterinary or communication field knowledge of university program goals and objectives familiarity with veterinary medical field relevant experience in higher education Physical Demands Campus Orange Park Florida Job Duty Job Duty Responsible for recruiting, hiring, and administering duties for Simulated Clients Job Duty Communicate effectively with participants, peers, and supervisors, utilizing appropriate communication, conflict resolution, and problem-solving skills to foster cooperation. Job Duty Collaborate closely with the Director of Professional Life Skills to ensure quality curriculum delivery Job Duty Work in conjunction with administration and other course directors regarding simulations Job Duty Support collaboration with other programs, such as veterinary technologies and pre-vet programs Job Duty Supervise Simulated Clients Job Duty Manage the onboarding and training process for Simulated Clients Job Duty Schedule Simulated Clients according to program needs Job Duty Evaluate and maintain the quality of Simulated Client performance Job Duty Collaborate and contribute to the budget management of the Professional Skills Program Job Duty Plan and budget for equipment and supplies required for simulations and communication training and curriculum Job Duty Responsible for acquiring props and related equipment for the program Job Duty Assist in the development and maintenance of the Professional Skills Schedule Job Duty Coordinate adjunct scheduling with administration Job Duty Manage student schedules for simulation labs and OSCEs Job Duty Assist with input and maintenance of Professional Skills gradebooks Job Duty Coordinate and oversee logistics for Professional Skills Labs and OSCEs Job Duty Manage technology logistics and usage within the Professional Skills program, including: Job Duty Sim Capture System input and release settings. Job Duty Sim Capture student grading and client analytics Job Duty Transferring student assessments from Sim Capture into gradebooks Job Duty Coordination of Exam Proctors Job Duty Case compilation and training. Job Duty Coordination of CEC scheduling with CEC staff and CVM administration.
