About the Role

We're seeking a seasoned Director of Business Development to lead our Power Business and drive success in the power electronics industry. As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for establishing Flex Power as the lead product source for targeted markets and customers. Your primary goal will be to secure long-term positions for Flex Power and drive business growth through strategic relationships and innovative solutions.

Key Responsibilities


Leverage your knowledge of products and core capabilities to gain alignment with key customers and drive business growth.
Provide commercial and technical inputs to Flex Power product development to gain advanced positioning with key customers.
Collaborate with the Technical BDM to secure customer power roadmap needs and drive new business opportunities.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with customer procurement, product, and business development teams.
Achieve early vendor participation in new RFIs at key customers and drive new business revenue bookings.
Establish MSA and SOW agreements to ensure clear understanding of business plans with customers and Flex.
Manage customer new product plans with Flex Power factory readiness and drive ramp readiness.
Provide forecasts for active and new projects and bridge any gaps to ensure timely delivery.
Analyze customer business strategy, future product plans, and expansion activities to align Flex resources and drive mutual benefit.
Define business priorities through a broad and forward-thinking vision of market and technology needs.
Work closely with Business Development Leadership and Finance Department to control budgets and drive departmental success.


Essential Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you'll need:


A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Sciences, or Business.
Typically 7 years of progressively advancing account management and/or business development experience.
Understanding and business development experience in Power Electronics.
Ability to work effectively with internal teams, executive management, and external customers.
Knowledge of Strategic Selling techniques and ability to influence senior-level management and key clients.
Understanding of key financial metrics, including P&L, balance sheets, and ROI indicators.
Ability to travel 30% of the time to customers and Power sites (domestic and international).


Preferred Qualifications

While not essential, the following qualifications will be considered a plus:


Advanced degree in Engineering, Sciences, or Business.
Experience in managing large-scale business development initiatives.
Proven track record of driving business growth and revenue bookings.
Strong network and relationships within the power electronics industry.
