Director of Asset Management (Multifamily)

Our SelectLeader's client is a boutique real estate private equity investment fund manager. They focus on value-add acquisitions (properties valued between $5 Million and $50 Million) throughout the United States. Since 2019, they have acquired and or sold $700 Million worth of multi-family residential, industrial warehouses, and other commercial properties. It is a team of hard-working real estate professionals passionate about creating a community of investors through thoughtful and transparent investments.Under the direction of the CEO & CFO, this person will be in a key role for the company and will be responsible for overseeing asset management for the multifamily portfolio. Job Responsibilities Portfolio Oversight: Proactively lead the strategic and operational management of the multifamily portfolio, ensuring assets meet or exceed financial performance targets.Financial Analysis & Reporting: Monitor property-level financials prepared by property managers. Recommend strategies for revenue growth and expense control.Strategic Planning: Hold joint venture partner asset management accountable to meet the business plans for each asset, including capital improvements, leasing strategies, and repositioning opportunities. Advise senior leadership on needed changes to the business plan as a response to micro and macro-economic changes.Performance Monitoring: Conduct regular property visits, review KPIs, and track operational benchmarks.Market Analysis: Stay informed on market trends, rental rates, occupancy, and competitive positioning to inform asset strategy.Capital Projects Oversight: Collaborate with property management teams and joint venture partners to plan, budget, and execute capital improvement initiatives.Stakeholder Communication: Prepare and present performance reports on a monthly basis to ownership, investors, and senior leadership,Team Leadership: Be a strong leader who can position the multifamily portfolio to maximize returns Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in real estate, Finance, Administration, or related field8-10+ year’s experience in accounting/finance, asset management, or property managementProven track record in maximizing asset value and driving NOI growth in multifamily propertiesAnalytical thinker with the ability to translate data into actionable strategies, and execute on said strategiesAbility to travel regularly to property sites (quarterly visits to property sites, 50% in Wisconsin/Minnesota, 50% remaining states).Ability to manage multiple priorities at once, to shift directions multiple times throughout the day, creative problem solving and a high sense of urgency are critical to successStrong financial budgeting and forecasting abilitiesReal Estate industry experience requiredAdditional duties as assigned by managementComprehensive understanding of Microsoft Excel and other computer software Benefits 401(k) with partial Employer matchHealth insurance – premiums covered by EmployerHSA Account – partially paid by EmployerDental insurance – covered by the EmployerLife insurance – covered by the EmployerDisability insurance - covered by the EmployerPaid Time Off and Sick Time Off
