If you are passionate about making a profound impact on the quality of patients’ lives, please click to apply, we would love to hear from you.Director, Logistics & ProcurementThe Director, Logistics & Procurement provides leadership, vision, direction and structure to the AdaptHealth procurement and logistics functions, ensuring that it is aligned with the overarching AdaptHealth strategic priorities and company needs.Job Duties:Develops, implements, and maintains the overarching AdaptHealth Procurement and Logistics governance framework, incorporating policies, procedures, systems, structures, and tools for all related activities.Provides strategic leadership of proactive customer-centric procurement and logistics functions to meet service expectations.Facilitates the agency-wide strategic positioning as an industry leader in procurement of DME products.Leads the procurement and logistics services in maintaining operational efficiency and expediency, ensuring integrity and stewardship through a robust quality assurance framework, as well as rigorous, cost-effective procurement and logistics management service delivery,Collaborates with other leaders across the company to ensure procurement and logistics activities are fulfilled efficiently and effectively.Leads direct procurement and delivery of key strategic products and/or services.Ensures strong supplier performance and contract management mechanisms are in place for efficiency and value for money.Oversees all operational activities that are required to ensure AdaptHealth’s procurement and logistics compliance, including internal controls, risk assessment and mitigation, forward planning, and strategic vendor management.Establishes key performance indicators (KPIs) to capture, evaluate, and report on the performance of all procurement and logistics activities. Ensures that KPIs are used for continuous improvement and for strategic decision-making.Ensures that best practices, ethics, industry standards, as well as relevant compliance requirements are understood and adhered to by staff undertaking procurement and logistics activities across the company, as well as internal stakeholders.Builds and maintains positive relationships with key internal and external stakeholders to build trust, influence, and facilitate the acceptable of new approaches and operating practices.Represents procurement and logistics functions on cross-functional initiatives. Engages with other departments such as finance, compliance, and legal to ensure strong and effective collaboration.Represents AdaptHealth in relevant external settings, including meetings with key suppliers and service providers, peer organizations, industry bodies, and leads or participates in negotiations for collaboration, partnership or complex contractual arrangements as necessary.Management/Supervision:Responsible for selection and hiring of qualified staff, ensuring an effective on-boarding, and providing comprehensive training and regular feedbackAccomplishes staff results by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; developing, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, procedures, and productivity standardsCompetency, Skills and Abilities:Proven leadership skillsIn-depth knowledge of modern souring and procurement principlesStrong negotiation skills, especially for large and complex procurement contractsIndependent thinker and decision makerStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detailRequirementsMinimum Job Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in economics, finance, business, procurement, or a related discipline from an accredited university required, Master’s degree preferredSeven (7) years of relevant work experience required in procurement or supply chain management requiredFive (5) years of management experience in related position requiredTwo (2) years healthcare experience, preferably in HME requiredIndustry recognized certification such as the APICS’ Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP); the Institute for Supply Management’s Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM), or equivalent, is preferredValid and unrestricted driver’s license in the state of residenceAdaptHealth is an equal opportunity employer and does not unlawfully discriminate against employees or applicants for employment on the basis of an individual’s race, color, religion, creed, sex, national origin, age, disability, marital status, veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity, genetic information, or any other status protected by applicable law.
