Position Overview

We are currently seeking an experienced and strategic-minded Director, Healthcare Data Management to lead our data management and monetization initiatives within the US Healthcare division. This pivotal role involves working cross-functionally across the organization to identify and evaluate data adaptation opportunities, manage the functional elements of the US Healthcare Strategy group, and drive continuous improvement in data management processes.

The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of healthcare data ecosystems, strong leadership capabilities, and the ability to collaborate effectively with both internal and external stakeholders. This position offers a competitive salary of $76,000 per year and is based in Illinois.

Key Responsibilities

As the Director, Healthcare Data Management at arenaflex, you will be responsible for driving strategic data initiatives and ensuring the successful delivery of data solutions to our clients. Your key responsibilities will include:


Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and groups, both external and internal, across arenaflex including but not limited to Pharmacy, Retail, and Field Operations Solutions to enhance current data monetization products, and develop objectives, processes, and support for division initiatives.
Process Improvement: Establish continuous improvement of data management and governance processes across the enterprise, collaborating with various lines of business to strengthen data monetization products and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
Business Analysis: Provide Retail Strategy group contract administration processes and analysis to ensure execution and management of business terms, including core analysis related to drug manufacturer service agreements.
Client Relationship Management: Support business relationships with existing and new data product/service clients by serving as a data subject matter expert and collaborating with various internal teams including Information Technology.
Compliance & Auditing: Participate in and contribute to regulatory or contractual audits with data analysis as a subject matter expert, ensuring all data practices adhere to industry regulations and company policies.
Proposal Development: Participate in RFP responses and Statements of Work for new contracts as a subject matter expert, contributing to business development efforts.
Matrix Leadership: Work in a matrix environment to provide shared accountability for drug manufacturer relationships with Purchasing, Public Records Management, and Specialty Pharmacy, as well as Pharma, Payer, and Health Systems partners on data monetization and related contractual requirements.
Channel Management: Effectively manage channel entry business and profitability, ensuring sustainable growth and financial performance.
Stakeholder Engagement: Develop and maintain strong relationships while communicating arenaflex needs regarding pharmaceuticals, trade, specialty, program/product development, account management, and clinical services.
Cross-Functional Leadership: Lead cross-functional influence across arenaflex to create visibility and synergies, including but not limited to Pharmacy Services, Store Operations, and Specialty divisions.
New Business Development: Support new business development by providing project planning and process details to create proposals for new services as well as reporting/analytical capabilities.
Program Coordination: Coordinate and control activities, plans, and programs within area of responsibility, ensuring timely delivery and quality outcomes.
Data Governance: Advise on various data monetization initiatives and drives (current or future) to ensure that any data-related changes and conditions are identified, communicated, documented, and managed to ensure adherence with organizational requirements and Enterprise Data Management established standards.
Team Development: Coach, mentor, and develop employees through guidance, training, and performance management programs to build employee confidence, motivation, and loyalty.
Product Delivery: Lead delivery and support of current and new Analytics products including but not limited to Advances in partnership with external vendors to provide data and insights to Pharma, Payer, and Health System partners.
Technology Partnership: Define and partner closely with IT team to develop and monitor metrics that impact current organizational data delivery services and analytics products.
Policy Compliance: Work within company guidelines concerning policies, programs, procedures, budgets, and applicable laws. Ensure the development and execution of approved manufacturer partners services are consistent with overall strategy.


Essential Qualifications

To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following minimum requirements:


Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (Healthcare Administration, Business, Information Technology, or related discipline)
Minimum of 2 years of experience contributing to financial decisions in the workplace
Minimum of 2 years of direct management, indirect leadership, and/or cross-functional team leadership experience
Experience collaborating with both internal and external resources to develop strategies that meet department and company goals within budget and established timelines
Experience identifying management/operational issues and recommending and implementing strategies to resolve issues
Experience with project management (for example: planning, organizing, and managing resources to achieve the successful completion of specific project goals and objectives)
Experience in program administration and analysis of manufacturer programs for Specialty Pharmacy services
Ability to travel up to at least 20% of the time for business purposes (within state and out of state)


Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following qualifications will give you a competitive edge:


Advanced degree (MBA, Master's in Health Administration, or related field)
Experience in healthcare data analytics, health information management, or related field
Strong knowledge of healthcare data standards (HL7, FHIR, ICD-10)
Familiarity with pharmaceutical manufacturer contracts and specialty pharmacy operations
Experience working with large-scale data platforms and cloud technologies
Certified Healthcare Data Analyst (CHDA) or similar certification
Demonstrated success in new business development and client relationship management
