Director, Enterprise Architecture

The Basics:The Director of Enterprise Architecture reports directly to the Chief Information Officer and is responsible and accountable for all aspects of Tanium’s enterprise architecture program. This is a highly strategic role which drives the team responsible for assessing, defining and guiding enterprise, application, and security architecture across the company while ensuring technology acquisitions, deployments and changes are consistently secure, reliable, scalable, efficient, and fit for purpose.Additionally, this role will chair Tanium’s Architecture Review Board. What you'll do: • Act as the Chair for Tanium’s Architecture Review Board • Manage a team of Enterprise Architects while maintaining a culture of transparency, accountability, efficiency, and action • Define, publish and maintain enterprise architecture standards and roadmaps which will govern the implementation, design, and usage of technology across Tanium • Partner closely with Finance Business Partners to validate and record defined ROI's for proposed technology initiatives, acquisitions and renewals • Partner closely with business leaders to create and revise business processes to make better use of technology platforms, continually striving for improved efficiency, consistency, and security • Provide guidance to senior leadership on technology trends and strategies which may impact or accelerate Tanium's ongoing success • Work closely with the CIO, CISO, andSenior Director of Business Systems to ensure compliance and security requirements are implemented consistently and effectively • Embrace Kanban as the primary methodology for project and workload management • Build relationships with business leaders across Tanium to ensure ongoing alignment as business initiatives emerge and new technologies are considered, proposed, procured, and deployed We’re looking for someone with: • Education • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience • Experience • 5+ years in a senior leadership role • 15+ years relevant work experience preferred • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Architect-grade technical acumen • Demonstrated history of engaging and working with senior business leaders • Proven ability to manage uncertainty and thrive in a rapidly changing environment • Deep understanding of various IT & Compliance frameworks, including ITIL, ISO27001, SOC2, FedRAMP, SOX, etc.About Tanium Tanium offers an endpoint management and security platform built for the world’s most demanding IT environments.
