Director, Engineering - Consumer Financial Services

• We are looking for an exceptional, self-motivated Director of Engineering to lead our growing Consumer, Financial Services team.
• This is an exciting opportunity to work on products that are transforming the utilization of crypto enabled financial services, such as peer to peer payments, and using card products for daily needs.
• You will be comfortable dealing with ambiguity, able to think through complex technical challenges, and able to align cross-functional teams to create solutions.
• Drive and scale a world-class Engineering team responsible for providing trade-fi utility using the advantages of blockchain.
• Be a manager of managers; Coach your direct reports to have a positive impact on the organization and support their career growth.
• Collaborate with engineers, designers, product managers, and senior leadership to translate our vision into a tangible roadmap on a quarterly basis.
Requirements:
• Deep expertise in consumer-focused financial products such as peer to peer payments, remittances, credit cards, debit cards, bill pay, and direct deposit.
• At least 12 years of experience in software engineering in tech and/or fintech industries.
• At least 5 years of engineering management experience, and 2 years of experience managing Managers.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills.
• Demonstrated ability to hire, develop and scale world-class engineering teams.
• Execution focused; Ability to build strategy, prioritize and deploy new innovative solutions in ambiguous environments.
• Experience creating, delivering, and operating multi-tenanted, distributed systems at scale.
• Experience in crypto, particularly blockchain networks, is a plus.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Machine Learning, or similar field; Advanced degree preferred (MS or PhD).
