About the position

The Director, Artificial Intelligence (AI) is responsible for building and leading a high-performing AI team, executing AI strategies, and driving innovation across the enterprise that enhance business operations, improve customer experiences, and deliver measurable business outcomes. This role will blend technical depth with strategic leadership, ensuring AI solutions are ethical, scalable, secure and aligned with business goals and the company remains competitive in a rapidly evolving AI landscape.

Requirements
• Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in broad based platform technology, data science / Machine Learning & enterprise transformation programs.
• Minimum 5 years’ management experience.
• Experience with cloud platforms, data engineering and MLOps.
• Experience in regulated industries such as finance preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Technology/Information Management or closely related technical field.
• Advanced degree in Computer science, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence or a related field.
• Professional development in areas such as AI/ML platforms, cloud computing, enterprise platforms strongly preferred.
• Proven ability to deliver AI initiatives in an enterprise environment, with a balance of strategic and hands-on execution.
• Proven record of accomplishment to influence and partner with the business and leaders to successfully drive large-scale organization initiatives.
• Ability to connect AI capabilities with business outcomes and long-term organizational goals.
• Strong understanding of AI platforms, tools and use cases; willingness to learn and configure solutions directly.
• Deep expertise in machine learning, deep learning, natural language processing, and computer vision.
• Strong leadership skills to effectively lead and support both assigned resources and colleagues from other internal departments or external stakeholders.
• Proven ability to work across levels and functions to build relationships with key stakeholders.
• Demonstrated ability to articulate vision and direction, communicate effectively, manage and measure performance and accountability.
• Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
• Excellent interpersonal, counseling, and negotiation skills.
• Comfortable navigating change and ambiguity in a fast-paced environment.
• Forward thinking with the ability to work well under pressure and organize/articulate complex information.

Nice-to-haves
• Experience in regulated industries such as finance preferred.
• Professional development in areas such as AI/ML platforms, cloud computing, enterprise platforms strongly preferred.
