Career OpportunityRole TitleDirector, Annuity PricingPurpose of roleThis role is responsible for leading the pricing, product development support, and profitability management of the company’s annuity product portfolio. This role provides strategic direction on pricing assumptions, product design, risk management, and capital optimization while ensuring alignment with corporate financial objectives and regulatory requirements. This role is also responsible for managing the relationship with reinsurers as it relates to annuities.Job DescriptionKey ResponsibilitiesResponsible for annuity pricing model validation, documentation, and model governance processEnsure compliance with actuarial standards of practice and internal controlsPresent pricing recommendations to senior leadership and product committeesManage reinsurance RFPs and ensure that we are compliant with the terms of the reinsurance treaty on an ongoing basisSet best estimate assumptions for mortality, lapse, utilization, expenses, and investment returnsAssess capital impacts under statutory and RBC frameworksSupport asset-liability management and reinsurance optimizationLead a team of pricing actuaries and analysts as the annuity business growsKey QualificationsEducation (minimum required): Bachelor of Actuarial Science or Mathematics or equivalentExperience (minimum required): Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (FSA)Chartered Enterprise Risk Analyst (CERA) designation10+ years of actuarial experience with significant experience in annuity pricingAdvanced proficiency in actuarial modeling tools (e.g. MG-ALFA, AXIS, or similar)Deep knowledge of fixed and fixed indexed annuity productsFamiliarity with hedging programs for fixed indexed annuities#LI-RemoteSalary Range: The actual base salary for this position will depend on several factors, including job-related skills, experience, and education.
