Digital UI/UX Designer

Schedule Mon- Fri Overview Work at home in the following states: AZ, CA, ID, IA, NV, NH, NJ, NM, OR, TX, UT, VT, VA, & WA We are seeking a talented and creative UI/UX Designer to join our team and enhance our digital banking platform. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and maintaining intuitive, user-friendly, and visually appealing interfaces that deliver a seamless digital banking experience for our members. This role combines expertise in user experience (UX) design, user interface (UI) design, and possible front-end development to create engaging and functional digital solutions. The candidate will collaborate closely with product managers, developers, and stakeholders to ensure the user experience meets user needs and business objectives. Responsibilities • Conduct formal and informal user research and testing of in-progress work and participate in user-based testing to provide optimization of existing application. • Create wireframes, prototypes, user flows, and journey maps to define intuitive and efficient user experiences. • Design visually appealing and consistent user interfaces, ensuring alignment with brand guidelines, accessibility standards, and mobile device capabilities. • Participate in development and QA efforts to ensure designs are developed as specified. • Work closely with product managers, back-end developers, and marketing teams to align on project goals and deliverables. • Maintain a record of designs, style guides, and component libraries used while ensuring designs adhere to America First branding standards. • Deliver effective presentations of ideas and concepts to project teams • Keep up with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in UI/UX design and digital banking for browser and mobile apps. #IND21 Qualifications Education: • Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience). Experience: • 5+ years of professional experience in UI/UX design and front-end development. • Strong foundation in prototyping and wireframing software (such as Figma) • Strong foundation in usability best practices • Ability to understand and inspect HTML, CSS and JavaScript for design acceptance and troubleshooting • Strong attention to detail, with an aesthetic sensibility that requires minimal art direction • Proven experience designing and developing user interfaces for web and mobile applications. • Hands-on experience with user research, wireframing, prototyping, and usability testing. • Familiarity with version control systems • Understanding of responsive and adaptive design principles. Soft Skills: • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams. • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. • Accessibility Knowledge: Familiarity with WCAG 2.2 guidelines and designing for accessibility (ADA compliance). • A strong portfolio showcasing UI/UX design and front-end development work, ideally with examples from financial or e-commerce platforms. Preferred Qualifications • Experience with Q2 Digital Banking Platform: Hands-on experience designing or developing for the Q2 digital banking platform, including familiarity with its UI components, APIs, and customization capabilities. • Financial Services Experience: Previous work in the financial services industry, particularly in digital banking, fintech, or payment systems. • API Integration: Knowledge of integrating front-end interfaces with RESTful APIs or microservices architectures. • Analytics Tools: Experience using analytics platforms to make design decisions.
