Authentic is looking for a Temporary Digital Strategist, Email to join our team for a limited term ending November 15, 2026. We are seeking a Digital Strategist to work as an account manager in our Email department. Authentic is an award-winning digital agency specializing in fundraising, advertising, creative and web strategy, online organizing, and more. We lead this industry with a focus on developing unique and creative digital programs for our clients.
This position pays a fixed starting salary of $65,000 annually, per our company’s transparent employee compensation. Benefits include 100% employer covered health insurance, 401K with employer contribution, flexible vacation and sick leave, and more.
This is a union position represented by the Campaign Workers Guild.
Responsibilities:
Serve as account lead on several clients — leading client calls, developing and explaining email and paid media strategy, pitching list acquisition and paid media plans, communicating with the client, setting content calendars and goals, drafting, proofing, and editing compelling email and SMS content, managing client approvals, executing email production, coordinating with paid media vendors, analyzing results, and optimizing based on performance and client feedbackSupport the team across departments as needed or assigned — helping provide coverage on other client accounts if necessaryEnsure all content is rooted in the authentic and honest voice of the client, and that each program is unique to each clientUse reports and online platforms to track results and paid media budgetsDevelop and deliver professional reports, projections, and memos for clientsRegularly A/B test topics and tactics across clients, while remaining on top of digital trends and tools, ensuring we are proactive in innovating for our clients Effectively manage client communication and expectations across multiple programsWork collaboratively with other strategists, managers, and members of the paid media and content teams to develop holistic strategies to maximize results across clientsDraft, proofread, edit and help fact check content before it goes to the client or to supportersRegularly utilize and/or test prototypes for technical solutions that leverage emerging technologies to solve specific workflow challengesBrainstorm creative email ideas for clients and contribute to a collaborative team cultureRespond to news in real-time as needed, by drafting and producing rapid messages in response to fast-breaking newsPerform additional responsibilities as requested
Qualifications
Experience of writing fundraising emails.Experience communicating with clientsDemonstrated understanding of email best practices including theories of change, creative writing, A/B testing, error-free copywriting, and email formattingEffective written and verbal communication skillsProven ability to handle multiple tasks at once and meet tight deadlines as neededExperience with using G-Suite tools including shared Google Drive, Google Sheets, and Google DocsExperience with progressive tools such as ActBlue, NGP, or ActionKit. Experience in reading and analyzing dataWillingness to contribute to a collaborative team cultureCommitted to getting things right - pays close attention to detail and doesn’t stop trying
