Digital Reporting & Dashboard Transformation Consultant
We are seeking a talented and detail‑oriented Freelance Power BI / SharePoint Dashboard & Report Template Designer to support our reporting modernization initiatives. In this contract-based role, you will be responsible for developing visually compelling dashboards, enhancing existing reporting templates, and improving the overall reporting experience for stakeholders.
The ideal candidate is someone with a strong blend of data visualization expertise, UI/UX awareness, and hands-on experience with Power BI or SharePoint dashboard design. You should be able to translate business requirements into intuitive and interactive dashboards while ensuring the final output is both insightful and aesthetically modern.
Responsibilities
Develop high-quality Power BI dashboards or SharePoint-based dashboards/pages that align with business needs.
Modernize and redesign existing report templates to enhance clarity, usability, and visual appeal.
Apply best practices in data visualization, ensuring reports are easy to interpret and actionable.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand reporting objectives, KPIs, and data structures.
Clean, shape, and model data using Power BI tools (Power Query, DAX) where required.
Ensure dashboards and templates follow a consistent visual identity and maintain a future-ready design approach.
Optimize performance and ensure dashboards are scalable and user-friendly.
Provide documentation and guidance to enable smooth future updates.
Required Skills
Strong experience in Power BI dashboard development or SharePoint site/dashboard design.
Proficiency in DAX, Power Query, and general BI data modeling (for Power BI roles).
Strong understanding of data visualization principles and dashboard UI/UX.
Ability to create modern, clean, and organized report templates.
Experience working with datasets from multiple sources and transforming them effectively.
Excellent communication skills and ability to understand business reporting requirements.
Strong attention to detail, creativity, and a good design sense.
Nice-to-Have Skills
Experience with Power Automate, SQL, or Microsoft 365 tools.
Familiarity with design tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, or Canva.
Experience creating style guides or reporting standards.
Portfolio Requirement
Applicants must provide a portfolio showcasing:
Previous Power BI or SharePoint dashboards
Samples of report templates or visualization redesigns
Any modern UI/UX-inspired dashboard or report work
Profiles without relevant portfolio items will not be considered.
