Digital Media Specialist

Susquehanna Conference of the United Methodist Church is seeking a Digital Media Specialist to enhance their digital communications. This role focuses on creating visually compelling graphics and ensuring consistency across all digital platforms, while collaborating with ministry leaders to effectively communicate the Conference's mission and initiatives.ResponsibilitiesDesign digital and print materials, including event graphics, social media visuals, flyers, brochures, presentations, and conference branding materialsMaintain visual consistency across all platforms in alignment with brand guidelinesPrepare files for both digital and print production, ensuring accuracy, high-quality output, and proper formattingCollaborate with ministry leaders and staff to develop visuals for campaigns, initiatives, and eventsMaintain and organize a digital asset library for easy retrieval and consistent brandingContribute to the creation of templates, icons, and other reusable design elements to streamline communications productionUpdate and maintain the Conference website with accurate, accessible, and brand-aligned contentAssist in editing and distributing weekly eNews (QuikLINK) and other email campaigns in coordination with the Director of CommunicationsEnsure email content follows accessibility standards, is mobile-friendly, and maintains consistent brandingHelp maintain accurate email distribution lists and support targeted messagingSupport the Creative Multimedia Specialist with graphics for social media postsStay informed of digital trends, tools, and best practices to continuously improve communicationsTake initiative in designing and producing visuals that advance the Conference missionPartner with ministry leaders and communications staff to identify and implement design solutionsWork independently to manage multiple projects, while providing updates and collaborating as neededEnsure all work reflects Christ-centered, mission-driven approachOther responsibilities as assignedSkillsBachelor's degree in graphic design, communications, digital media, or equivalent experienceProficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc.)Experience with website content management systems (WordPress preferred)Experience designing and sending email campaigns using platforms like Mailchimp or Constant ContactStrong typography, layout, and visual communication skillsAbility and experience crafting digital communications that connect meaningfully with diverse audiencesAbility to translate complex information into clear, engaging designsProven ability to take initiative and produce work independently while collaborating effectivelyBasic knowledge of HTML/CSS for minor site adjustmentsFamiliarity with accessibility standards for web and emailFamiliarity with The United Methodist Church polity, culture, and missionUnderstanding of nonprofit or faith-based communicationsExperience in maintaining brand consistency across digital and print materialsBenefitsBenefitsCompany OverviewUnder the direction of Bishop HΓ©ctor A.
