About the Opportunity
Accelerate Change is seeking a freelance graphic designer to develop digital assets for a variety of projects and experiments, with a strong focus on designing dynamic and engaging Google Slides presentations. Our ideal candidate is able to produce high-quality design work in a fast-paced work environment with a highly creative and flexible approach to the work.
Here's what you could expect to do as Digital Graphic Designer (Freelance):
Ā Play a pivotal role in designing impactful decks that uphold our brand values, visuals, and messaging, actively shaping the look and feel of our projects across a variety of digital platforms
Ā Bring your proven expertise in creating professional, fun, dynamic and visually compelling Google Slides presentations
Ā Ensure that each deck upholds our brand identity, aligns with key messaging, and delivers a polished, engaging user experience
Ā Design engaging social and digital media content for platforms like Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and others
Ā Create graphic elements for video and podcast projects, elevating visual appeal and engagement
Ā Develop diverse digital collateral, creating style guides, documents, and other visual assets
Ā Provide a designer's perspective during creative brainstorming sessions dedicated to content experimentation
Ā Demonstrate adaptability within our experimental content approach, consistently delivering high-quality work within tight timelines
Ā Contribute your skills to a range of design projects, spanning illustration, motion graphics, and presentation design, based on your established capabilities
What We're Looking For
Ā Commitment to social change. Accelerate Change is a mission-driven workplace focused on civic engagement with BIPOC and low-income communities. You have a demonstrated commitment to this work and you'd like to be part of a team of people who do, too.
Ā Experience: We are looking for a candidate with a minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in digital and social media design, with a particular emphasis on crafting compelling slide decks and PowerPoint presentations.
Ā Excellent Communication Skills: Proficient written and verbal communication skills are paramount for comprehending design requirements and delivering results that align with expectations
Ā Portfolio Showcase: Candidates who possess a portfolio showcasing their adeptness in creating slide deck presentations and impactful social media content
Ā Self-Motivated: The ideal candidate should exhibit a self-driven demeanor, adept at efficient time management to meet deadlines and attain objectives effectively.
Compensation
This is a 3-month, part-time freelance opportunity with the potential to extend. The compensation is $40-$45/hour. The number of hours per week will vary, but we estimate roughly 5-10 hours per week.
