Digital Copywriter

Job Description
Our telecommunications client is seeking a detail-oriented freelance Mid–Senior Level Copywriter to support a large-scale website migration initiative. This role will play a critical part in ensuring all migrated content aligns with updated brand guidelines, reflects strategic structural changes, and maintains clarity and consistency across the user experience.
The ideal candidate is equally comfortable creating new copy, editing, and rewriting copy as needed. You will collaborate closely with IA and Digital Strategy partners to understand site architecture changes and proactively adjust messaging to preserve intent, SEO value, and user clarity.
Rate: $50-$55/hr. (DOE)
Location: Philadelphia, PA, HYBRID
Responsibilities:
Review all website pages slated for migration to ensure alignment with updated brand guidelines and messaging standards.
Rewrite or refine copy when sections or elements are being removed, consolidated, or restructured.
Develop clear, comprehensive primary reference documents when direction is not fully defined within design files (Figma).
Partner with Information Architecture (IA) and Digital Strategy teams to understand structural changes and their impact on content.
Revise content strategically based on page removals, navigation updates, or consolidation efforts.
Ensure messaging consistency, tone of voice, and brand alignment across all revised pages.
Identify gaps in content or messaging created by structural changes and proactively recommend solutions.
Maintain strong attention to detail across copy, headlines, calls-to-action, and supporting content.
Required Qualifications:
4+ years of copywriting experience, ideally in digital environments.
Strong experience supporting website migrations, redesigns, or large-scale content audits.
Proven ability to adapt messaging to updated brand guidelines.
Experience collaborating with IA, UX, or Digital Strategy teams.
Comfortable working from Figma files and translating design intent into clear, strategic copy.
Strong editorial skills with a keen eye for clarity, hierarchy, and consistency.
Ability to manage multiple pages and revisions simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
Experience developing structured content documentation or messaging frameworks.
