Position Overview
We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Digital Content Creator & Website Specialist to manage our website updates, social media content, and donor-facing digital communications.
This is a hands-on content execution role — not a marketing strategy position. The ideal candidate is comfortable working independently, meeting weekly deadlines, and maintaining a polished, professional online presence.
Key Responsibilities
• Update and maintain website content (WordPress, Squarespace, or similar CMS)
• Create and schedule Facebook and Instagram posts
• Format and publish donor emails
• Update donation pages and digital campaign content
• Convert rescue partner updates into engaging donor-facing content
• Ensure consistent tone, branding, and accuracy across platforms
Required Qualifications
• Experience managing or updating websites (WordPress, Squarespace, or similar)
• Experience creating and posting Facebook and Instagram content
• Strong written communication skills
• High attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
• Availability Monday–Friday, 8 AM–12 PM Central Time
• Must reside in the Kansas City area
Preferred Qualifications
• Canva or basic graphic design experience
• Experience working with nonprofits
• Interest in animal welfare or conservation
