Job SummaryThe DevSecOps Administrator provides critical support for the development, security, and operations of Department of Navy systems. This role is responsible for implementing and managing DevSecOps practices, tools, and pipelines to ensure secure, efficient, and automated software delivery. You will act as a primary resource for integrating security into the software development lifecycle, managing CI/CD pipelines, and maintaining strict compliance with DoD cybersecurity standards.As with any position, additional expectations exist. Some of these are, but are not limited to, adhering to normal working hours, meeting deadlines, following company policies as outlined by the Employee Handbook, communicating regularly with assigned supervisor(s), and staying focused on the assigned tasks including company meetings, and completing other tasks as assigned.ResponsibilitiesPipeline & Infrastructure Automation Design, implement, and maintain Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines to automate software builds, testing, and deploymentsIntegrate security tools and practices directly into CI/CD pipelines to ensure secure code deliveryDevelop and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) scripts using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation to automate infrastructure provisioningEnsure all infrastructure is secure, scalable, and compliant with organizational and Navy policiesSecurity Integration & Operations Implement security measures throughout the software development lifecycle, including static code analysis, dynamic application security testing (DAST), and vulnerability scanningUtilize and manage a modern security stack including GitLab Premium, Invicti, Trivy, AWS ECR managed signing, AWS GuardDuty, and DefectDojoManage AWS GovCloud environments and containerized applications using Docker and KubernetesEnsure secure configurations for all cloud resources and container orchestration platforms Monitoring, Incident Response & Collaboration Implement monitoring tools to track system performance, security, and availabilityRespond to incidents promptly, conduct root cause analysis, and implement corrective actionsMaintain detailed documentation of DevSecOps processes, configurations, and security controlsWork closely with development, operations, and security teams to align practices with organizational goalsUtilize ticketing and project management software including ServiceNow and Jira.Basic QualificationsMust be a U.S. CitizenBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related fieldProficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShellProven experience with containerization tools (Docker) and orchestration platforms (Kubernetes)Deep knowledge of security tools and practices, including vulnerability scanning, code analysis, and penetration testingHands-on experience with AWS GovCloud environments and IaC tools like Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormationActive DoD Secret clearance or the ability to obtain oneIf applicable: If you are or have been recently employed by the U.S. government by the U.S. government, a post-employment ethics letter will be required if employment with VSolvit is offeredPreferred QualificationsActive DoD Secret clearanceCurrent Security+ or equivalent DoD 8570 compliant certificationExperience specifically supporting Department of Navy (DoN) or AWS GovCloud environmentsProfessional certifications in AWS (Solutions Architect or DevOps Engineer) or Kubernetes (CKA/CKAD)Company SummaryJoin the VSolvit Team!
