Design Technologist / Engineer-in-Training - Kootenays

They are seeking a Design Technologist or Engineer-in-Training to work on diverse municipal engineering projects in their Fernie and Rossland offices, focusing on design, inspection, and project coordination.ResponsibilitiesDeveloping designs using AutoCAD Civil 3D and other computer-aided drafting programsInspecting construction of municipal engineering projectsPreparing engineering base plans, designs, drawings, and cost estimates for municipal engineering projects (roadworks, water and wastewater, and storm water management)Producing design calculations and analysis for water, storm water and sanitary sewer collection systemsAssisting in preparing engineering and construction tender documents and contractsProviding design and construction services for a variety of project typesProviding input into project budgeting and schedulingCoordinating with clients, contractors, and third-party stakeholders to facilitate project requirementsCollaborating with internal and external project team members and stakeholdersSkillsGraduate of an accredited Engineering Design Technology, or a Bachelor of Science in Engineering programRegistration or eligibility for registration with ASTTBC or EGBCThe number of years of experience that you have working in the municipal engineering discipline, working with MMCD design guidelines/standards and construction best practicesProficiency with design software including AutoCAD Civil 3D, Auto Turn, MS Office SuiteKnowledge of project lifecycle and deliverable requirements for multi-discipline municipal projectsKnowledge of municipal mechanical and process systems such as pump stations, Pressure Reducing Valves, water and wastewater treatment systemsAny experience experimenting with or incorporating AI software interfaces into workflowsBenefitsExcellent mentorshipFlexible working hoursHybrid model of workEmployer paid benefits including health, dental and extensive paramedical servicesHealthcare Spending and Lifestyle Option AccountsGroup RRSPAnnual bonus incentivesPaid professional development opportunities and membershipsParental leave top ups24/7/365 Employee Family Assistance programCompany OverviewISL is a construction company that offers civil engineering and building maintenance services.
