And we’re growing... Summary: We are looking for a full-time Design Center Leader to join our team. They will lead our design center team in Chino, including Design Technicians, Engineers in Training and Professional Engineers. They are expected to have outstanding leadership skills and excellent written and oral presentation skills. In addition, they will be dependable, self-directed, and able to thrive in a high-pressure customer focused culture. Most of all, they will be committed to the RedBuilt “Why” and dedicated to leading the Design Center’s efforts in producing shop drawing packages and component design for engineered floor, roof, and wall framing systems. RedBuilt is committed to continuous growth and will support this candidate with educational assistance and job-related training. Essential Functions: • Managing a technical team of 7-10 associates. • Hiring, proactive retention, and career stewardship for the technical team. • Promote and facilitate continuous improvement. • Create and maintain alignment with overall business objectives. • Track and report on performance metrics and utilize data to influence business decisions. • Budgeting and disciplined management of business unit finances. • Build and maintain service posture that delivers customer value. • Work in parallel with sales managers to grow market share. • Short- and long-term planning to ensure resources can support business growth. • Promote collaboration and strong relationships across business functions. • Bolstering and motivating others to support the 5 pillars that RedBuilt is built upon: • Safety – A culture that cares • Customers – Working together, keeping our commitments • Careers – Empowering our associates, valuing work-life balance • Communities – Serving the communities where we work and live • Structures – Delivering high quality, sustainable, solutions • Perform other related duties as assigned. Requirements, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (Minimum Qualifications): • Bachelor’s degree in business or related field, Professional Engineer, or equivalent experience required. • Dependable, self-directed, and able to thrive in high pressure customer focused culture. • Outstanding leadership skills. • Excellent written and oral presentation skills. • Proven track record of developing business relationships. • Highly motivated team player who thrives in working with and leading others.
