Dental Professional to Create Educational Video Scripts
Description: We’re looking for a dental hygenist or dental professional with excellent communication and writing skills to help us create base scripts for short educational videos. These scripts will cover various dental topics — including medical conditions, pharmacology, radiology. The goal is to create clear, engaging, and accurate scripts that explain key concepts in a way students can easily understand. Responsibilities: - Write detailed base scripts for each topic. - Create scripts based on the Study Guides provided. - Research and summarize information from reliable dental and medical sources. - Ensure all content is accurate, easy to follow, and aligned with NBDHE/NDHCE-style learning. - Collaborate via Google Docs for feedback and revisions. Requirements: - Background in dentistry, dental hygiene, or dental education is a must. - Strong writing and communication skills (English fluency required). - Experience creating or teaching educational materials is a plus. - Ability to meet deadlines and follow topic outlines or reference materials provided. Content-related requirements: - Is it OK to use ChatGPT? Absolutely. We're not expecting you to dig through textbooks for hours. A few good prompts can do the bulk of the work. - But — you’ll need to think like a student. For example, when describing NSAIDs, start with “What does that even mean?” Explain the difference between steroid and non-steroid, or when describing antibiotics, explain why amoxicillin is a modern version of penicillin and how it differs from cyclosporine. - We pride ourselves in being able to explain things better to the students than this textbook can. We hold their hand and dive into topics. - Scripts should be in bullet-point format, but with enough depth and description to make them meaningful. - Two rounds of revisions are part of the process. This helps refine clarity, ensure accuracy, and keep the student’s perspective front and center. - We want thoughtful, well-developed content — not quick, AI-only outputs. Writers will receive one topic at a time to maintain quality. - Examples will be shared with shortlisted candidates to demonstrate how we transform our textbook content into concise summaries and then into engaging scripts. - These scripts later form the basis for our video slides — so the main focus right now is on creating strong, high-quality written content.
