Job Purpose The demand forecast planner role will be responsible for the ongoing maintenance, review and understanding of the demand forecast distributed for their select business segment(s). Essential Duties and Responsibilities • Review and maintain customer demand statistical forecast models at the item, region and aggregate level within assigned categories • Utilize demand planning tools and software to review historical sales trends, research demand drivers, tune forecast models and forecast accuracy • Drive the collaborative forecasting process through demand reviews with the proper sales and marketing representatives while maintaining thorough understanding of changes on monthly basis • Working with their specified segment's sales, marketing, product management, operational and financial teams to produce an unconstrained rolling 18-month demand forecast as part of the • SIOP monthly process while working with cross-functional teams such as supply planning, plant planning and scheduling, customer service, finance & engineering • Manage exceptions to the forecast through exception-based reporting and auditing for S&OE tactical review • Strong working relationship with inventory and operational planning team for quarterly review of stocking targets and customer expectation • Proactive mindset towards continuous improvement opportunities within area of work Qualifications • Bachelor's Degree with 3+ years of forecast planning experience OR 5+ years of equivalent forecast planning experience. • Experience in forecast planning with manufacturing company preferred. • Experience in organizing and leading effective teams • Excellent communicational skillset with emphasis on relationship building • Excellent Microsoft office skills • Ambitious, personable, proactive and career minded individual Travel Required • 5-10% travel expected.
