Job Description
As a TSA Agent at Delta, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and security of our passengers and staff. You will be responsible for conducting security screenings of passengers and baggage, maintaining a high level of vigilance, and adhering to all Transportation Security Administration (TSA) guidelines and procedures.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct thorough security screenings of passengers, baggage, and cargo.
Monitor and patrol designated areas to ensure compliance with TSA regulations.
Assist passengers with security procedures and provide exceptional customer service.
Respond to security incidents and emergencies in a calm and efficient manner.
Maintain accurate records and reports as required by TSA guidelines.
Collaborate with other TSA agents and airport personnel to ensure a safe and secure environment.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent.
Strong attention to detail and excellent observational skills.
Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle stressful situations effectively.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to pass a background check and obtain necessary security clearances.
Physical ability to stand for long periods and lift heavy baggage as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or a related field.
Familiarity with TSA regulations and procedures.
Basic proficiency in a second language.
Work Environment
This job operates in a dynamic and fast-paced airport environment. TSA Agents are required to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, to ensure 24/7 security coverage.
