Defense Logistics Coordinator (Part-Time)
We are seeking a detail-oriented, mission-driven professional to support our day-to-day operations responding to solicitations on the Defense Logistics Agenc's (DLA) DIBBS system on a part-time basis. The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying and quoting parts, managing supplier communications, ensuring traceability, and overseeing the logistics and documentation required for successful government contracting transactions.
This role is well-suited for a U.S. military veteran or anyone with prior experience handling DLA/DIBBS bid responses and government supply chain workflows.
Responsibilities
Identify and source parts quickly for DIBBS solicitationsSubmit accurate and timely bids (approximately 10-15 daily)Communicate with suppliers and verify part traceability when requested by DLAPrepare purchase orders and confirm fulfillment timelines with vendorsGenerate shipping labels and manage inventory for awarded itemsMaintain proper documentation including traceability records, COCs, and supplier communicationsRespond to DLA inquiries and ensure compliance with solicitation termsTrack bid history, award status, and update internal records accordingly
Qualifications
Prior experience working with DLA/DIBBS requiredKnowledge of U.S. government procurement or supply chain logisticsExperience handling documentation such as traceability certificates, purchase orders, or packaging labelsStrong organizational skills and attention to detailComfortable using online systems and basic business software (Teams, Excel, email, etc.)Military logistics or supply background a major plus

U.S. Veteran with logistics, supply, or contracting backgroundExperience working with NSNs, part number cross-references, or defense hardwareAble to work independently and reliably on multiple deadlines each day
