Job Description of Dedicated Delivery Driver:
The role of a UPS Dedicated Delivery Driver is critical to our organization, being responsible for delivering packages to businesses and residences. Operating our noticeable brown trucks, you will ensure that our customers receive their products in a prompt and friendly manner. For people who appreciate staying active, being outside, and driving, this position is perfect. You will find yourself carrying out daily deliveries of packages of all shapes and sizes, providing top-quality customer service, and representing UPS with pride.
Job Duties and Responsibilities of Dedicated Delivery Driver:
To ensure the highest level of safety when delivering packages, UPS drivers must follow traffic laws and safety regulations at all times.
Deliver packages of diverse dimensions and weights to multiple addresses with careful handling, promptness, and accuracy.
Deliver exceptional service to customers, ensuring that their delivery experience is consistently positive.
In order to present a professional image, one must observe the rules laid down in the UPS Uniform and Personal Appearance Guidelines.
Use handheld technology to manage deliveries and optimize routes, improving productivity and reducing delivery times.
The UPS uniform given to employees must be worn to adhere to the company's appearance guidelines.
Usually perform full shifts, typically spanning about 8 to 10 hours per day.
Qualifications and Experience of Dedicated Delivery Driver:
Capability to hoist items weighing as much as 70 pounds.
No Commercial Driver's License (CDL) is needed for the role, however, the job does require a valid drivers license. The type of license necessary will differ from state to state.
Meet the standards set by the department for the physical evaluation test.
Impressive customer service and expert driving competence.
The United States government offers several programs to help individuals who want to work in the U.S. but do not have legal status.
