About the OhioRISE Population Health Specialist Role The OhioRISE Population Health Specialist will be instrumental in supporting population-level improvements through the development, implementation, and management of value-added benefits programs. These programs are specifically designed to meet the unique needs of youth with complex behavioral health conditions, going above and beyond the standard Medicaid benefits package. Key Responsibilities Design and develop value-added benefits programs tailored to the specific needs of youth with behavioral health conditions within the OhioRISE managed care plan. Collaborate with internal teams, including clinical staff, behavioral health specialists, and care coordinators, to identify gaps in existing benefits and develop innovative solutions to address these gaps. Conduct research and analysis to identify evidence-based practices, interventions, and services that can be incorporated into the value-added benefits programs. Work closely with network providers, community organizations, and external stakeholders to establish partnerships and negotiate contracts for the delivery of value-added services. Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of value-added benefits programs through data analysis, member feedback, and outcomes measurement to ensure continuous improvement and alignment with member needs. Stay up-to-date with the latest trends, research, and best practices in the field of behavioral health to inform the development and enhancement of value-added benefits. Collaborate with the Communication Director and outreach teams to effectively communicate the availability and benefits of value-added programs to members, providers, and other stakeholders. Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements and guidelines related to the OhioRISE Provider agreement. Collaborate with other Ohio Medicaid Managed Care Planes to support and inform value-added benefits strategies. Collaborate with the OhioRISE Flex Fund Administrator to identify Flex Fund utilization trends and determine if a VAB is available that can meet the identified need. Provide training and support to internal staff and network providers on the value-added benefits programs and how to effectively utilize and promote them. Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need: A Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, public health, social work, or a related field. At least 2 years of experience in healthcare administration, managed care, or a related field, with a focus on behavioral health services for youth preferred. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to gather and interpret data to inform decision-making. Proficiency in using data analysis tools and software applications. At least 1 year of project management experience, with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines. Preferred Qualifications While not required, the following qualifications are highly desirable: Strong knowledge and understanding of Medicaid managed care programs, regulations, and compliance requirements. Experience in developing and managing value-added benefits programs, preferably in a Medicaid or managed care setting. Familiarity with evidence-based practices, interventions, and services for youth with behavioral health needs. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and confidentiality requirements. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders.
