You will work individually or in small groups, recording grades and other measures of students' progress and behavior. Key Responsibilities Presents material and activities to improve skills in assigned areas, such as reading, writing, math, computers, and/or vocational education Works individually or in small groups with students who are in special education Records grades and other measures of students' progress and behavior Provides instructional assistance in assigned areas Communicates effectively verbally and in writing with staff, students, and parents Maintains confidentiality and handles sensitive information with discretion Operates a personal computer and related software to support instructional activities Maintains effective working relationships with staff, students, and parents Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need to possess a combination of education, experience, and skills that demonstrate your ability to work effectively with students with special needs. Compensation, Perks, and Benefits This is a part-time 9-month position, working 35 hours per week, with a starting salary of $22.97 per hour. Selected hire will be fingerprinted at applicant's expense and fingerprints forwarded to the Alaska State Troopers and the FBI for a records check.
