Key Responsibilities
Β Team Leadership: Guide staffing recommendations, conduct performance evaluations, provide coaching, and assign work tasks to ensure the team remains motivated and valued.
Β Service Delivery: Manage daily operations related to database functions, ensuring exemplary service and support standards.
Β Project Management: Oversee project-related initiatives, working closely with both internal teams and external project management professionals to manage project tasks effectively.
Β Vendor Relations: Handle vendor partnerships, aiding in selection processes, contract negotiations, and review of statements of work (SOW).
Β Process Improvement: Follow established policies while actively seeking to enhance current ITIL processes, including service requests, incident management, and change management.
Β Technology Solutions: Assess and recommend technology solutions, engaging in decision-making regarding purchases, development, and implementation.
Β Strategic Planning: Contribute to both operational and tactical planning relevant to your functional area.
Required Skills
Β Excellent verbal and written communication proficiency.
Β Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to prioritize and manage numerous initiatives.
Β Analytical mindset with a robust problem-solving approach and sound judgment.
Β Proficient in managing relational database systems, specifically SQL Server and DB2 (z/OS and Distributed).
Β Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Β Quick to identify and resolve team-related challenges.
Β Ability to align team and individual objectives with ITΒs strategic vision.
Β Self-driven with a creative approach to problem-solving.

Qualifications
