FTE: 1.000000 Standard Hours :40.00 Shift: Flexible 1st shift between 7am to 5 pm with an on call rotation every 3 weeks. Shift Details: Holidays: Weekends: Job Summary: Responsible for the physical development, implementation and maintenance of the database management systems and underlying databases for Froedtert & Community Health's Information Systems. This environment primarily includes Oracle and Microsoft SQLServer databases running on UNIX and Windows platforms. This position will also assist the Applications team in the installation and support of major business application and data warehousing initiatives supporting the hospitals' end user departments. Will work closely with Team Lead and Manager to ensure that the database environment delivers at a service level consistent with organizational risk, information access requirements, and business strategies. Position works to improve or maintain a high level of database system performance and availability through the implementation of sound technologies and consistent Works with other staff to ensure proper implementation of computing infrastructure in support of business application initiatives. Promote teamwork, stewardship, and accountability. Provides technical consulting on moderate to complex initiatives. Evaluates existing systems and procedures, and makes recommendations for improvements as required. Must provide updates regarding the performance and availability of the Database environment and proactively work to resolve problems. Other duties as assigned. Other information: Candidates can be hired at 2 levels depending on their experience: Career level: EXPERIENCE DESCRIPTION: Two or more years of relevant database administration experience is required. EDUCATION DESCRIPTION: Knowledge of computer principles at a level normally acquired through completion of a Bachelor's degree in a relevant technology field or acquired through a combination of education and experience is required. Associate Level: EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Two or more years of relevant Information Technology experience is required. EDUCATION REQUIRED: Knowledge of computer principles at a level normally acquired through completion of a bachelor’s degree in a relevant technology field or acquired through a combination of education and experience is required. SPECIAL SKILLS DESCRIPTION: Understanding of Windows, Unix, and Linux. Proficient knowledge and skill in programming language (SQL, Java, HTML, Python, Powershell, etc.). Proficient knowledge of databases (MS SQL, Oracle, etc.) Knowledge of the IT services, applications, and infrastructure. Solid capabilities working to plan and meeting deadlines. Good interpersonal skills in communications with all levels of hospital personnel, vendors and IT personnel. Compensation, Benefits & Perks at Froedtert Health Pay is expected to be between: (expressed as hourly) $34.82 - $59.56. Final compensation is based on experience and will be discussed with you by the recruiter during the interview process.
