The role designs and refines database structures, indexing strategies, and capacity plans to deliver scalable, high‑performing data services across multiple business applications. Implement and review advanced security controls such as encryption at rest and in transit, role‑based access models, privileged account management, and auditing to protect sensitive data in highly regulated environments. Lead planning and execution of database software upgrades, patching cycles, and cross‑environment migrations, coordinating with application owners and operations teams to manage risk and downtime. Proficiency with relational database systems such as Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, or PostgreSQL, including strong understanding of database structures, principles, and best practices.
