Job Overview
The Database Administrator, Financial Planning & Analysis manages, secures, and optimizes SCS's financial data systems, ensuring high availability, accuracy, and regulatory compliance. This position is responsible for database design, installation, performance tuning, backup/recovery, and controlling access to sensitive financial records. In addition, this position will assist in the overall workload of the FP&A team.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities


Assist in the development and implementation of financial database and related policies and procedures
Monitor the security of SCS's financial assets
Lead the implementation of new software for financial data
Establish and monitor adequate internal controls
Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize queries to ensure fast, reliable access to financial data
Install, configure, and upgrade database software
Implement strict security measures to protect sensitive financial information
Manage data migration and integrate new applications with existing financial systems
Ensure data management practices meet industry standards and legal regulations
Work closely with finance and IT teams to ensure data accuracy, system integrity, and alignment with organizational goals
Assist the FP&A team with the workload within the FP&A group


Minimum Qualifications


Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field and
7+ years of experience in database administration, preferably in a professional services organization and
7+ years of experience in administering and supporting financial systems (e.g., EPM systems, budgeting/financial reporting tools)
Experience with specific financial systems (e.g., Workday Adaptive Planning, Oracle EPM (Essbase), or equivalent)
Strong understanding of financial processes and accounting principles
Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Strong communication skills and the ability to prioritize and deliver on multiple projects simultaneously
Desire and ability to interact and collaborate effectively with a variety of people across diverse internal groups, teams, divisions, and cultures
Ability to think critically, produce high-quality work, and adapt well to organizational changes
Proficient in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
Initiative, good judgment, and ability to work independently; responsive and adaptive


Preferred Qualifications


Master's Degree in a relevant field
Experience with SQL or other database query languages
Certified Public Accountant (CPA)

Working Remotely
At this time, SCS Global Services is recruiting all open roles to be remote; allowing our employees the ability to work flexibly and allowing SCS as a company to diversify the experience and perspectives of our growing workforce. This role will be based out of your home office.

Estimated Annual Salary
$110,000 - $120,000
