Job Title - Database Admin (File Maker) Work Location- Austin, Tx (100%Remote) Duration-2 months (might extend) Work Timings- 8 AM - 5 PM CST Position Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled FileMaker professional with 4+ years of expertise in recovering FileMaker Server access, administering FileMaker environments, and executing seamless migrations to FileMaker Cloud. Skilled in managing end-to-end migration processes, including credential recovery, schema recreation, data transfer, and verification, ensuring accuracy, security, and functionality. Proven ability to deliver reliable backups, replicate complex database structures, and validate large datasets (7,000+ records, 40+ fields) with thorough testing and certification for business continuity. PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (May perform any or all of the following) • Scope of Work: Phase 1: Recover Admin-Level Access to FileMaker Server • Gain administrative access to on-premise FileMaker Server v13. • Create a new set of admin credentials for the Agency. • Perform two local backups of the existing FileMaker database. Deliverables: 1. One set of new admin credentials. 2. Two backup copies of the on-premise database. Phase 2: Create New Database in FileMaker Cloud • Build a new, empty database in FileMaker Cloud. • Ensure schema (tables, fields, calculations, summaries) matches existing on-premise database (7,300 records; 45 fields). • Deliverables: 1. New FileMaker Cloud database, identical in structure to the on-premise database. Phase 3: Transfer & Verify Database • Upload copy of the on-premise database to FileMaker Cloud. • Perform pre-upload checks and fix issues if necessary. Verify post-migration accuracy: • Ensure all records are migrated. o Validate that fields function correctly. • Randomly test 350 nonsequential records against the original on-premise database. • Provide certifications and test results to the Agency. Deliverables: • 1. Populated and functional FileMaker Cloud database. 2. Certification of successful record transfer. 3. Certification of proper field functionality. 4. Verification report on 350 tested records. Required Qualifications: • Required: 4+ years of experience recovering FileMaker Server access, experience working with FileMaker Server and FileMaker Cloud, and experience transferring on-prem FileMaker databases to FileMaker Cloud.
