Day to day, you'll... • Analyze complex business problems using data from internal and external sources to deliver insights to decision-makers • Identify and interpret trends and patterns in datasets to understand key influences on business outcomes • Build forecasts, strategic and tactical plans, and recommendations based on business data and market knowledge • Create specifications for reports/analyses based on business needs and available data • Provide consultation to end users and lead cross-functional teams to address business issues, producing datasets and reports via reporting tools • Design, implement, and maintain reports, dashboards, and visualizations — acting as a visualization and business-intelligence subject-matter expert • Engage in continuous improvement of existing programs and ownership of projects/programs • Work with minimal direction under a given strategy; coordinate with different functional teams to implement models and monitor outcomes • Apply design thinking to improve the effectiveness and usability of deliverables (dashboards, visualizations, reports) Education What you'll bring to the team... • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or the equivalent through a combination of education and related work experience Work Experience • Experience with SQL • Proficiency with one or more visualization/BI tools: Looker, Tableau, or Power BI • Experience designing, implementing, and maintaining reports/dashboards/visualizations • Experience working cross-functionally with different teams to implement data models and monitor results • Ability to work autonomously with minimal direction, exercise independent judgment in methods, techniques, and evaluation • Ability to create business cases, generate innovative ideas, and provide strategic/tactical recommendations based on data Why work for us Since 1955, we have been leaders in tax preparation, financial services, and small business solutions. Pay Range Information The pay range for this position is listed below. Local minimum wage laws apply. Individual pay decisions will depend on job-related factors such as experience, education, skill, performance, and geographic location where work will be performed. Successful candidates may be able to participate in one or more incentive compensation or short-term incentive plans, which could generate additional earnings in accordance with the terms of each plan. Qualifying associates can enroll themselves and/or their eligible dependents in medical and prescription drug coverage; can participate in the H&R Block Retirement Savings Plan (401(k) Plan), the Employee Assistance Program, (virtual) fitness center programs, and the associate discount program; are automatically enrolled in Business Travel Accident Insurance; and receive Associate Tax Prep benefit.
