Location: 100% remote; reporting office is in Raleigh, NC must be near one of these cities: Dallas, TX; Tampa, FL; New York City; Philadelphia, PA; Raleigh, NC; Chicago, IL; Atlanta, GA
Duration: 6-12 months to start
Mode of Interview: Ropes AI Assessment + 2 rounds IV
Note: After offer there will be an in person ID check at office
Must Have Skills: PhD degree, 2-4+ years as a Data Scientist, LLM, NLP, AgenticAI is a big plus
Responsibilities:
ā¢ Working closely with other data scientists and engineers to design, develop, and deploy AI solutions.
ā¢ Leading the development of advanced AI and machine learning models to solve complex business problems
ā¢ Research, build, and deploy models based on both shallow and deep machine learning. Train robust NLP-based models over a very large corpus of data
ā¢ Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure AI solutions are aligned with business goals and customer needs.
ā¢ Mentoring junior data scientists and provide guidance on AI and machine learning best practices.
ā¢ Designing APIs for disseminating data science outputs to various business units.
ā¢ Overseeing the scaling of production systems to meet growing demands.
Requirements:
ā¢ Possess an advanced or Master s education in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.
ā¢ Have experience working directly with large language models and transformer-based architectures including BERT, RoBERTa, T5 etc.
ā¢ Have experience and knowledge of applying LLMs including models of GPT, Claude, Mistral, Phi family. Knowledge of advanced prompting techniques and agent-based solutions
ā¢ Demonstrate proficient experience with machine learning algorithms, including deep learning, gradient boosting, and random forests
ā¢ Possess advanced programming skills in Python, R, or other relevant languages for data analysis.
ā¢ Be proficient in working with big data technologies and tools like Hadoop, Spark, or AWS.
ā¢ Be a natural problem solver, able to lead and mentor junior data scientists, and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
