As we move into the next phase of our mission, you will play a critical role in maturing our data governance frameworks and pioneering the AI-enabled insights that will make these services more responsive and efficient. Our entire team is remote across the United States, from the West Coast to the East Coast. There will never be a return-to-office, as we have none! This position's published base salary range is between $110,000 and $140,000 annually, plus generous benefits (e.g., For People pays 100% of Gold-tier employee health insurance premiums) and annual company profit sharing. Your Opportunities At For People, you will: Develop and implement data models to find efficiencies and identify trends using statistical techniques. Analyze large-scale healthcare datasets, specifically focusing on the Transformed Medicaid Statistical Information System (T-MSIS) Analytic Files (TAF), to generate actionable insights. Collaborate within a dedicated team of analysts and program experts to build interactive self-service dashboards that translate complex metrics into user-centric visualizations. Support the incremental development of data governance frameworks to ensure the highest standards of data quality, integrity, and security. Utilize human-centered design principles to ensure all technical outputs are intuitive, accessible, and directly aligned with the needs of stakeholders and beneficiaries. You Bring A humble and caring attitude aligning with For People’s values – how we work with passion, fun, curiosity, sustainability, humility, and respect. 5+ years of hands-on experience in data science, with a proven track record of delivering complex data projects. Expert-level proficiency in SQL for querying and manipulating large, complex datasets. Strong programming skills in Python for data analysis, scripting, and automation. Experience working with data pipelines and ETL processes in a modern cloud environment. A deep curiosity and passion for untangling complex problems and a drive to see your work create a positive social impact. Prior exposure to healthcare insurance, CMS, or state Medicaid data is a bonus. Additional Details You will be working on a United States government platform, and they have a few basic requirements for contractors like ourselves. You must perform all work physically within the United States at all times. In addition, you must be a United States citizen and be able to pass a government-performed public trust background check.
