Solventum is looking for a forward-thinking Data Science Specialist to join our Healthcare Analytics division in Philadelphia, PA. Job Description
As a Data Science Specialist, you’ll apply advanced analytics, machine learning, and statistical modeling to healthcare datasets to solve complex challenges. You'll collaborate closely with clinical teams, product managers, and IT specialists to design intelligent systems that turn raw data into actionable intelligence. You’ll contribute to the innovation of healthcare analytics products and services with a focus on improving quality of care and operational efficiency.
Requirements


Master’s or Ph.D. in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Public Health, or a related field


3–5+ years of experience in data science roles, preferably within the healthcare or life sciences industry


Proficiency in Python or R, SQL, and statistical/machine learning libraries (e.g., Scikit-learn, TensorFlow)


Experience working with healthcare data formats (EHRs, claims, HL7, FHIR, etc.)


Strong understanding of HIPAA and data privacy regulations


Knowledge of data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau)


Excellent problem-solving and communication skills


Ability to work cross-functionally in a collaborative, fast-paced environment


Responsibilities


Analyze large-scale healthcare datasets to identify trends, insights, and anomalies


Design and implement predictive models for patient risk scoring, resource optimization, and outcomes forecasting


Support clinical stakeholders by translating data into decision-support tools


Collaborate with software engineers to integrate models into digital health products


Maintain documentation, reproducibility, and compliance for data science workflows


Participate in peer reviews and mentor junior analysts or interns


Stay up to date with emerging techniques in AI/ML applied to healthcare
