Job Description
As a Data Science Specialist, you will work with large healthcare datasets, applying advanced analytics, machine learning, and statistical methods to generate actionable insights. You will collaborate with clinical teams, IT professionals, and leadership to develop predictive models, reports, and dashboards that drive strategy and improve care delivery.
Your role includes data cleansing, exploration, and visualization, as well as communicating findings clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. You will play a key role in enhancing healthcare analytics capabilities within the organization.
Key Responsibilities
Analyze complex healthcare datasets to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies.
Develop predictive models and machine learning algorithms to support clinical and operational initiatives.
Design and create dashboards and visualizations for data storytelling and decision support.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand analytical needs and deliver solutions.
Perform data cleansing, transformation, and quality assurance.
Translate data insights into actionable recommendations for healthcare stakeholders.
Stay current with the latest data science techniques, tools, and healthcare regulations.
Requirements
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or related field.
Proven experience in healthcare data analytics or related domain.
Proficiency with Python, R, SQL, and data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, etc.).
Strong understanding of machine learning algorithms and statistical modeling.
Familiarity with healthcare data standards (HL7, ICD codes, etc.) is preferred.
Excellent communication skills and ability to explain complex data insights simply.
Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving capabilities.
Ability to work remotely and manage multiple projects independently.
