Data Quality Analyst – Remote Work

Job Summary IBM is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Data Quality Analyst to remotely. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy, consistency, and integrity of data across multiple systems, helping IBM make data-driven decisions that drive business growth. The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical mindset, excellent problem-solving skills, and a passion for maintaining high-quality data standards in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities β€’ Conduct data profiling, validation, and cleansing activities to maintain high-quality datasets. β€’ Collaborate with data stewards, business analysts, and IT teams to identify and resolve data quality issues. β€’ Develop and implement data quality metrics, dashboards, and reporting processes to monitor data health. β€’ Support data governance initiatives, ensuring compliance with IBM’s data policies and standards. β€’ Assist in the design and execution of data quality improvement projects. β€’ Document data issues, root causes, and remediation plans for continuous improvement. β€’ Perform regular audits and reconcile data discrepancies across multiple sources. Required Skills and Qualifications β€’ Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Statistics, or related field. β€’ Strong understanding of data quality concepts, data profiling, and data validation techniques. β€’ Hands-on experience with SQL and database querying. β€’ Familiarity with data governance tools and frameworks is preferred. β€’ Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with strong attention to detail. β€’ Strong written and verbal communication skills to interact with cross-functional teams. β€’ Ability to work independently in a remote environment while managing priorities effectively. Experience β€’ Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in data quality analysis, data management, or a related field. β€’ Experience in handling large datasets and performing data reconciliation across multiple systems. β€’ Prior exposure to data governance and data quality tools (e.g., Informatica, Talend, Collibra) is an advantage. Working Hours β€’ Full-time, remote position. β€’ Flexible working hours, with occasional alignment to global team schedules. β€’ Must be able to attend virtual meetings as needed. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities β€’ Strong logical and critical thinking skills. β€’ Proficiency in data analysis and visualization tools (Excel, Power BI, or Tableau). β€’ Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a remote setting. β€’ Knowledge of data privacy and security best practices. β€’ Collaborative mindset and ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
