Data QA Tester
Role- Data QA Tester Location- Reston-VA (Remote) No C2C Key Responsibilities Data Quality & Validation • Perform data migration validation and reconciliation between legacy systems, staging environments, and target ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite). • Validate data integration workflows, ensuring transformation logic, mapping rules, and business rules are correctly implemented. • Conduct end-to-end data verification across Finance and Accounting datasets. Testing & QA Execution • Develop and execute Test Strategies, Test Plans, Test Cases, and Test Scripts. • Perform functional, integration, regression, and user acceptance testing (UAT) for data pipelines, ERP modules, and API integrations. • Validate ETL processes, ensuring correct extraction, transformation, and loading of financial and operational data. • Use Python and/or PySpark to create automated test scripts and support data validation efforts. • Execute API testing using tools such as Postman, Swagger, or comparable frameworks. • Identify defects, log issues, track remediation, and prepare detailed QA reports. ERP & Financial Systems Testing • Collaborate with ERP implementation teams to ensure accurate configuration and data mapping into NetSuite or similar ERP platforms. • Validate financial transactions, master data, and accounting data flows across integrated systems. • Support testing for General Ledger, AP, AR, revenue, fixed assets, and other financial modules. Cloud & Data Engineering Collaboration • Work with AWS-based architectures to understand data ingestion paths and validate data flow across services. • Interpret and validate AWS data flow diagrams and ETL designs for completeness and accuracy. • Collaborate with Data Engineering to troubleshoot issues in data pipelines and integrations. Required Skills & Qualifications • 7+ years of experience as a Data QA Tester, QA Analyst, or Data Quality Specialist. • Strong experience with ERP implementations, data migration testing, and integration validation. • Hands-on experience with NetSuite or similar ERP platforms. • Proficient in Python and/or PySpark for data validation and automation. • Strong understanding of ETL concepts, data modeling, and data transformation logic. • Experience with AWS services, cloud data pipelines, and data flow validations. • Proficient in API testing methodologies and tools. • Experience working with Finance and Accounting data, processes, and reporting structures. • Strong SQL skills for querying and validating large datasets. • Excellent documentation and communication skills, including test reporting.
